Food Category Focus Group (CFG) – Shaping the future

On 10 October we held a Customer Focus Group (CFG) with a range of customer organisations from health and local authorities.

We initiated work on seeking stakeholder views on how the food buying community could be supported in the future. Initial discussions focused on what could be delivered more effectively nationally, regionally or locally to support local well being. There were also some positive actions agreed on strengthening food safety approaches.

Sustainability indicator tool

We have been working with WRAP Cymru to develop a sustainability key performance indicator reporting tool. The tool will help us to will monitor, evaluate and report on the sustainability performance of suppliers on the food and drinks frameworks.

Two engagement events have been held where suppliers tested the tool and gave feedback.

We are excited to be launching this tool in a few weeks. It will provide valuable data to support our approach to delivering well being for all.
