Framework updates.

New performance indicators for food and drink services frameworks

Following two successful supplier engagement workshops during summer and autumn 2018, a new Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tool was launched on 5 December.

The tool will help us monitor, evaluate and report on the sustainability performance of suppliers appointed to our food and drink frameworks. One of our aims is to use procurement to improve the well-being of future generations. Our priority metrics include food waste generation, carbon associated with production and distribution, recycled content in packaging and the supply of sustainable products.

Suppliers are required to complete this tool, and submit to us twice annually, in April and October. The first return is due by 30 April 2019 and should capture data covering the 6 month period between October 2018 and March 2019.

Packaged food framework mini-competition

We’re currently supporting a Powys County Council mini-competition across Lot 3 (ambient groceries) and Lot 4 (frozen products). Please contact Sally-Anne Tucker or Kristy Roberts-Medcraft at if your organisation would like support to undertake mini-competitions through our agreements.
