eProcurement tools

eProcurement tools

Work is well underway to agree a framework for eProcurement tools for the Welsh public sector from next year.

The eTradingWales (Basware) and eTenderWales (BravoSolutions and Commerce Decisions) contractual arrangements end in January 2019.

We have established an eProcurement Category Forum Group (CFG) to shape the business requirements and procurement options for the NPS Delivery Group to consider.

We issued a Prior Information Notice (PIN) in December 2017 and have started to engage the industry, holding a briefing session in early January and an update call in March to test current thinking with potential suppliers. We have also offered calls with potential suppliers who wish to feed into the process.

We are grateful to CFG representatives who are seeking feedback from the organisations in their sectors (see table below).

Education Andrea Brooksbank
Housing Nick Abbott
Local Government (north Wales) Alison Evans
Local Government (south Wales) Dean Corbisiero /  George Ryley
Natural Resources Wales Heidi Pawlin
NHS Wales Alex Curley /  Rick Searing
Police and Fire Faye Ryan
Welsh Government Sponsored Bodies Helena Heath
Welsh Government Rhiannon Harry

If your organisation is not represented in these sectors, please contact the category team on

If your organisation has not contributed, please make contact with your sector representative above. If you require contact details, please email the category mailbox, and the team will put you in touch with your relevant representative.

Organisations which use the current tools will need to have a plan to manage any exit and transition. You may also wish to join the eTenderWales and eTradingWales user groups which are contributing to the process as well as to enhancements to the current solutions and the sharing of best practice. If you would like to join these user groups, please contact

Suppliers can continue to register their interest through the PIN on Sell2Wales.
