Contracts for the provision of eProcurement tools and services have been awarded to BravoSolution and Basware.

The contracts will begin on 12 January 2019 and end on 31 March 2020 when Welsh Government funding for the provision also ends. The functionality for the tools continues, this includes eTrading for Schools.

A limited number of BravoSolution and AWARD refresher training sessions will be available in the New Year:

  • Tuesday 29 January at Welsh Government, Swansea office
  • Tuesday 26 February at Welsh Government, Cardiff office
  • Wednesday 20 March at Welsh Government, Bedwas office
  • Friday 26 April at Welsh Government office, Llandudno Junction

The sessions are offered on a first come first served basis.

If you would like to attend any of the sessions, please discuss with your organisation’s divisional manager initially and then contact

BravoSolution training dates will be scheduled in the New Year. Divisional Managers will be contacted directly soon.

After 31 March 2020 customer organisations will be responsible for funding and maintaining their own eProcurement systems. Customers are responsible for exit management from Welsh Government eProcurement tools, which includes all data migration. Customers remain responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance of their own content and data published or shared to date, as well as newly published content when using the eProcurement tools.

In September, Mark Drakeford, the Cabinet secretary for Finance, highlighted the need for an innovative digital procurement strategy in the future. A Strategic Outline Case (SOC) is being developed to identify what the future eProcurement landscape could look like post 2020.
