The current contractual arrangements for eTradingWales, which includes eTrading for Schools (Basware) and eTenderWales (BravoSolution andAWARD) are in place until 11 January 2019. The process to procure tools for the period beyond January 2019 is underway, and we aim to have new arrangements in place in autumn 2018. GDPR update

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is now applicable, as of 25 May 2018, superseding the UK Data Protection Act 1998. It expands the rights of individuals to control how their personal information is collected and processed, and places a range of new obligations on organisations to be more accountable for data protection. The responsibilities of Welsh public sector organisations and Welsh Government in meeting GDPR requirements, within the context of the eProcurement tools, are outlined in a letter which has been issued to Heads of Procurement.

Organisations are reminded that all content and data (whether personal or business) continues to remain the responsibility of the Welsh public sector organisation that has provided, added, published or communicated it in connection with eProcurement tools. Organisations remain responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance of their own content and data published or shared to date, as well as newly published content.
