eProcurement tools update

eProcurement tools update

The Welsh Government currently funds eProcurement tools for the Welsh Public Sector.

This includes eTradingWales (Basware) and eTenderWales (BravoSolution and AWARD).

The Welsh Government has committed to funding eProcurement tools and services until 31 March 2020. The contracts for these tools expire on 11 January 2019 and cannot be extended. However we are exploring how we can keep a service until the funding ends.

We have held sessions with stakeholders to find out what their priorities are and to agree next steps. The options appraisal for a short term tactical approach was submitted to the NPS Delivery Group in September. Since then, we have consulted the local authorities’ Heads of Procurement and SOCITM representatives, and  run stakeholder workshops. Further information will be made available once we have finalised the facilitation arrangements.
